SCBWI Logo Contest Winner
When it came time to rebrand the Inland-Northwest chapter of the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, my logo was selected to be the new face of the community.

Painting for the Carousel of Smiles
Eventually this fishie will be mounted on one of the carousel’s many panels, but for now he resides in the organization studio to give the horses encouragement while they undergo restoration.

SECRET PROJECT WITH FUNATOMY
I’m excited to announce I’ve partnered with Funatomy to bring their next project to life! I won’t be sharing any pictures until closer to the release date, but I can tell you it’s been an amazing journey and I can’t wait for this story to officially join the world!
About the artist
Katya Greimes is a narrative illustrator and SCBWI Inland Northwest member. Although she likes working in many mediums, including acrylic and chalk, she mainly works in Photoshop for its versatility and infinite possibilities.
She worked her way through school as a Promotional Chalk Artist, and now she’s focusing her energy on illustrating children’s books, particularly illustrated middle grade, illustrated companion books, and animal picture books.
